TOP 5: CAFÉS IN PARIS
What would the French capital be without its cosy cafés with pretty interiors, delicious coffee and croissants? To celebrate our Café Paris collection, we have selected the top 5 cafés we tried on inspiration trips and the like and have loved ever since.
Just as delicious for the eyes: The interior and exterior are so cosy and inviting that you feel at home straight away. At La Favorite on Rue Rivoli, you can get everything from croque monsieurs and avocado toasts to cocktails and good wine.
Not only popular in Paris, but also internationally: Buvette can also be found in New York, Tokyo, Seoul and Mexico City. In the 9th arrondissement, the menu ranges from absolute bistro classics to an extensive, fine wine list. Our personal highlight: the heavenly pain perdu.
Café Kitsuné is one of the city‘s favourite cafés, and not just according to Instagram. In addition to the best-known branch at the Palais Royal, there are three more at the Tuileries, in Marais and near the Louvre - as well as 12 international ones. We‘re still thinking about the potato salad today - make sure to try it!
A little insider tip near the Bastille: the original French restaurant Divan. It serves really good coffee during the day and fresh oysters or tartar with fries in the evening. You can also meet new people at jazz evenings, live football streams and more.
It’s an absolute classic among Parisian cafés - and rightly so. Famous people such as Simone de Beauvoir, Jean-Paul Sartre, Pablo Picasso and Karl Lagerfeld used to be amongst the guests. Today, you can sit here with a hot chocolate and a crispy croissant in all weathers and people-watch for hours.
